FDA approval applies to a specific product and indication. TESTOPEL is an approved testosterone pellet product for certain forms of male hypogonadism. Its approval does not extend to compounded hormone pellets or establish approval for menopausal treatment. This distinction is not a statement that a particular product is offered here.
Weigh fewer administrations against less flexibility
Pellets require an insertion procedure and cannot be adjusted as readily as the next dose of a shorter-acting medicine. Insertion-site infection, bleeding and pellet extrusion are possible. Ask how complications or an unwanted response would be handled.

Does “bioidentical” mean a pellet is FDA-approved?
No. Bioidentical describes the hormone molecule. Approval status must be checked for the specific product and use.
Can the dose be changed immediately after insertion?
Pellet delivery is less readily adjustable than many other routes. Discuss the product-specific options for side effects or a change in treatment before insertion.
Can I compare pellets with injections or topical treatment?
Yes. Comparing the burden, flexibility, evidence and cost of the available options is a useful purpose of the hormone consultation.
What does the consultation cost?
The initial hormone consultation is $200, credited toward treatment if you choose to proceed. Labs are charged separately. Our front desk collects a $50 booking deposit by phone; it is part of the $200 consultation fee.

Consultation fee and booking deposit
A $50 booking deposit is collected by phone and applied toward the $200 consultation, leaving $150 for the consultation. The full $200 is credited toward treatment if you proceed. Labs are separate.
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes. The booking deposit is non-refundable and is forfeited for late cancellation or non-attendance.
